Two days on who should own AI

(And the whole economy)

Why now

The world is finally aware of the dangers of AI, and mass layoffs are on the horizon. The 2028 presidential election in the U.S. will be a debate about AI. But politicians and policymakers are hopelessly confused. It’s time to raise the level of the debate.

What we’ll work on

Can capitalism survive without workers? Is a publicly owned and operated economy possible? What should we demand instead of bailouts when the AI bubble bursts? We’ll spend two days on questions like these, and on what it would take to put the answers into practice.
